The Right Path?

The Road Not Taken

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost (1875-1963)

Every choice taken will be followed by a risk: futile or fruitful.
Has anyone ever wondered if you choose to be homosexual (or some may argue that he is born homosexual) what will happen to you when you are old? [I meant no offence]
You may enjoy the freedom of being who you are but would your partner spend the rest of his life with you. By choosing to be gay, you will not have any children as:
1. Man + Woman = Children
2. Man + Man = 0
3. Woman + Woman = 0
These are the simple formulae created by God. A gay will be lonely when he is old. This is the consequence of the path chosen by a gay. Is that fair? Personally, I have no comment, nothing to say about that. In order to obtain one thing, you have to sacrifice another thing.

I am really worried about my future if I choose the path 'less traveled by' for it would make 'all the difference'. Would I stake my life on it? Honestly, I don't have an answer for myself!

  1. Hey julian, thanks for following my blog :).
    Man + Man = 0 children. What about adoption ? Sincerely, I am not sure wether malaysia allow gay couples to adopt. But you wont be alone when you have a partner in your life. He will care for you just like you do for him(i hope i will find mine..hehe). How about your siblings? or parents?
    Anyway..we share the same problems( i think alot too).

  2. Malaysian law does not recognise gay people. Having anal intercourse is an criminal offence under Penal Code. Needless to say, gay couples are not allowed to adopt. Finding a partner who is willing to live with you and love you till you're old is even harder than winning jackpot. There are lotz of considerations.

    But hopefully one day I will be brave enough to come out to everyone. ;)

  3. man+woman=0 also got lah. be brave to face the future if we work together

  4. I understand how you feel. I know exactly what you mean - not a lot of gay guys are willing to be committed to the end. Maybe for the sex and the fun yes, but to the end, growing old together - one in a million. Maybe someday I'll settle down with a woman, they'll think - this is just an early part of my life, let me have my fun with the guys.

    I don't know, it's a complicated situation - sometimes I too feel like I'm looking at a needle in a haystack for a guy who wants to grow old to the end, and have a family while we're at it.
